Wanting and Waiting for Wednesdays -1

Greetings! This is my first meme I have started on my own, even though I know there are tons just like this one, I haven't been able to find one exactly like this (but send me a link if you know where to find one!). It is inspired by 'Waiting on Wednesday' -started at Breaking the Spine. Every Wednesday I will post a book I am waiting for it's release in 2012 and also any books I am wanting to read but haven't had the chance yet. Then hopefully, my next IMM will have one of those books in it! (Crossing fingers). Feel free to join me in this bookish meme!

The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater

If you've been a follower since the very beginning, you may remember my first reviews were on 'The Wolves of Mercy Falls' books. I loved those books so much except the ending of 'Forever' left me disappointed. But I'm expecting this will be a great read! Check it out for yourself - Filled with mystery, romance, and the supernatural, The Raven Boys introduces readers to Richard “Dick” Campbell Gansey, III and Blue Sargent. The Fault in Our Stars by John Green

Last week when I was at the mall, I walked by the book store and saw they has signed copies of this book. I didn't really look at it -because I was determined to find another book- until I had paid and was leaving. I had to leave by then, and so I didn't get the chance to buy a copy signed by the author. Now, it is my number one book on my list! Here's what it's about - Despite the tumor-shrinking medical miracle that has bought her a few years, Hazel has never been anything but terminal, her final chapter inscribed upon diagnosis. The Golden Lily Description!

Hello everyone! I had the nice surprise after school today while checking out Richelle Mead's blog... The Golden Lily description is out! Let`s celebrate!

Isn't that exciting!? For any Vampire Academy fans this is BIG. There's just over four months until it's release on June 19th. I'm already trying to plan out if it would be better to go to the bookstore the day it is released or the day after! I`d love to pre-order it but there are too many risks that I am not willing to take... So here's the link to Richelle's blog. If you know the VA series and Bloodlines then hopefully this is something exciting to make you smile if you haven't already seen it.

The Golden Lily Description

 

Sounds exciting doesn't it? I saw somewhere that this book will be a little bit more exciting than the previous, much like how the VA books got more and more suspenseful and exciting as the time went on. If you haven't already read Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead, they are the number one book series I would recommend. Give them a try if you'd like!

Before I Go To Sleep by S.J. Watson

           Hello fellow book-worms! I finished a novel the other night called 'Before I Go To Sleep' by a British author S.J. Watson. It's a book written for adults but I'd been eying it up since August and I finally decided to buy it. It follows the story of Christine, a 47 year-old amnesiac who wakes up every morning not knowing where she is, who the man sleeping next to her is, nor how old she is. Sounds very '50 First Dates' right? I thought so at first but it's actually a very chilling thriller that leaves you wanting more.

Christine wakes up every morning in an unfamiliar bed with an unfamiliar man. She looks in the mirror and sees an unfamiliar, middle- aged face. But it’s the phone call from a Dr. Nash, a neurologist who claims to be working with Christine without her husband’s knowledge, that directs her to her journal, hidden in the back of her closet. This book left my thoughts reeling the minute I turned the last page. S.J. Watson has an extraordinary talent for making you feel like everything in the novel is happening right before your eyes, or even better: happening to you. This was probably one of the best 'non-series' novels I've ever read. It was engaging, emotional and very addicting. There is some 'adult content' in this book, but other than that I'd recommend it for almost anyone.
