'W' squared Wednesday (5)

Good afternoon everyone! I sincerely hope everyone is having a fabulous day! What should my Dumbledore quote be today? How about this: “Nitwit, blubber, oddment, tweak.” Haha I love that! Nitwit, blubber, oddment, tweak everyone!

Anyways, every Wednesday I will post a book I am waiting for it's release in 2012 and also any books I am wanting to read but haven't had the chance yet. Then hopefully, my next IMM will have one of those books in it! (Crossing fingers). Feel free to join me in this every week if you'd like!

Waiting for:
Hollow by Richard Denney
Doesn't this look goregous!? Hollow comes out August 14th 2012 and I'm so stoked to read it!
Wanting:
Hallowed by Cynthia Hand
OMG! I can't believe I waited so long to read Unearthly! Now, I'm just dying for this book!

So, that's it for today! Nothing super exciting, but I think this is my favorite meme to do! I'm always in a good mood on Wednesdays it seems, so they're such a happy post.  If you do any special Wednesday posts, let me know and give me a link!

Oh, and on another note... I don't think I'm going to do a Teaser Tuesday anymore. I'm always either in the mood to review, or not on the computer on Tuesdays! So, yeah... I might do them occasionally but not every week anymore.

Anyways, I'm rambling again!
Bye!

'W' Squared Wednesday -4

Good morning! (at least, for me!) I hope everyone is having a fabulous day. And if not, then I hope tomorrow will be so much better! As the great Albus Dumbledore once said: “Happiness can be found in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light.” Okay, so I'm now getting way off topic... here's what's up for today's post.

Every Wednesday I will post a book I am waiting for it's release in 2012 and also any books I am wanting to read but haven't had the chance yet. Then hopefully, my next IMM will have one of those books in it! (Crossing fingers). Feel free to join me in this every week!

Waiting for:

Insurgent by Veronica Roth
I cannot wait for this book. Divergent was so great, and it left on such a crazy ending! If you scroll down, to the left you'll see a countdown of how many more days until it comes out! Yay!!!

Wanting:
Wither by Lauren DeStefano
I've been contemplating getting this book for a long time now. The other day, my friend was reading the second book and I was so jealous! So, I think I'm going to borrow them from her and then I'll let you know what I think!

That's probably all for today, I've got a ton of homework for tomorrow, (my teachers are on strike right now) and so I've got to get to work!
Talk to you soon!

'W' squared Wednesdays -3

Hey everyone! I have finally decided to order some books online! I'm not sure when they'll come in, but I'm super excited to get them! Anyways, here's what's up with today's post: every Wednesday I will post a book I am waiting for it's release in 2012 and also any books I am wanting to read but haven't had the chance yet. Then hopefully, my next IMM will have one of those books in it! (Crossing fingers). Feel free to join me in this bookish meme!

Waiting for:

When I heard Laren Conrad was coming out with a new novel I almost screamed. Her series 'L.A. Candy' was such a cute, fun read! I'm so excited for this book which follows Madison, who was a character from Conrad's last books. Madison is such a diva and had a really cool background, so I'm really excited to read more about her!

Wanting:

This is my number one MUST-READ right now. I have ordered it off of Amazon and I am desperately needing it! I haven't been able to find it anywhere! Not one of the four book stores I have been to recently have had it in stock. How weird is that?! If you've read this book, tell me what you thought!

I finished 'Pandemonium' last night so I will post my review on it tomorrow!
Until then, good bye!

In My Mailbox -4

This weekly meme is hosted by Kristi at The Story Siren. Every Sunday I'll put up which books I bought, borrowed or hopefully one day received for review. This way you'll have a little sneak peek on the reviews to look forward to soon!
I bought two books from Coles this week and borrowed one from the library. I'm going to a store called Hemingway's tonight, but I wouldn't be able to post this until tomorrow if I waited until after that! So here we go:

I went to Coles yesterday (Saturday) to return 'Fallen' by Lauren Kate; I decided I'll borrow it from the library instead, just because I don't think that I will like it enough to buy the entire series. Who knows, maybe I will, but for now the library is good enough for moi! So, I went, thinking that I'd just exchange the book for another until I saw this:

OMGHHKP! (if you don't know what that means, don't fret. Noone really does. See here :P) Seriously I did a little happy dance in the aisle. I asked the cashier if she knew why it was out already and she just said that they were told to put it out. I'm not questioning it. Their manager is super sweet and trustworthy so... who knows? I did see on their website that it was coming out on the 25th, but everywhere else it said the 28th. Anyways, I started reading it and it's really different from Delirium. I'll do a review in a few days, but I'm hoping that I'll love it more as I get into it!

This is the book that I decided to exchange Fallen for. I've been waiting for the paperback copy of this for so long now and when I saw it, I couldn't resist. I have heard so many great things about this book, but I usually prefer buying the paperback instead of hardcover if I'm unsure about the book, because obviously the price difference is incredible. If you've read this, what did you think? I really hope I'll enjoy it!!!

And finally, this came in from my library FINALLY! You have no idea how long I have been waiting for this book. I refuse to buy it until I know I will like it, because it isn't the usual type of book I read, but I have wanted it for so long! My friend borrowed it first and then ended up not reading it (I swear he's illiterate), and now I get it! :D YAY!

Link your IMM's down below and I'll check them out! Oh and by the way, I apologize greatly for my major faux-pas last Wednesday. I had a very confusing week and I could have sworn it was Tuesday night so I did my Teaser Tuesday, then to wake up on Thursday and realize that I messed it up completely. But the funny thing is that my Wsquared Wednesday actually was 'Divergent' and 'Pandemonium'. So, no need for it anymore!
Talk to you soon!

'W' squared Wednesday -2

Something kind of funny happened to me today in English class. My teacher was reviewing paragraph structures with us and suddenly said: "I don't know any person that willingly takes time out of their sunny, Friday afternoon to write about what they just read." Everyone kind of laughed and I said quietly to the guy next to me "I do..." and he laughed so hard! Then my one of my friends who is constantly checking my posts was like "Oh yeah! Kristy does almost all the time!" My teacher just looked at me and said, "Well that's... different."  *Blogger Pride!!!* :)

Alright, on to todays meme; I thought I might start just calling these W squared, because it's a lot easier. So here's the two books I am desperately needing (one published, one not-published).

Waiting for:

Pandemonium by Lauren Oliver. Release date is February 28th 2012... AHHHHH!!!! I NEED THIS BOOK NOW!!!!! I finished Delirium a few days ago and I was both banging my head on the wall for waiting this long to read it and also for not just waiting until Pandemonium came out so I could read them back-to-back! But no... I have to wait another 13 days like all the other people who weren't able to receive and ARC. But as soon as it comes out, zoom! I'm running to the bookstore!

Wanting:

Everneath by Brodi Ashton. It came out January 24th and I am still waiting for it to come in to my local book store and stay there! I have heard so many great things about this book and I think the plot sounds really interesting. Different from what I usually read. And plus... how can anyone resist that cover?

Let me know if you've read either of these and if you liked them! I'd love to hear your opinions!
~Kristy
P.S. My review and thoughts on Delirium will be coming soon, just as soon as I can find another book to read out of my ginormous pile of to-reads!

Wanting and Waiting for Wednesdays -1

Greetings! This is my first meme I have started on my own, even though I know there are tons just like this one, I haven't been able to find one exactly like this (but send me a link if you know where to find one!). It is inspired by 'Waiting on Wednesday' -started at Breaking the Spine. Every Wednesday I will post a book I am waiting for it's release in 2012 and also any books I am wanting to read but haven't had the chance yet. Then hopefully, my next IMM will have one of those books in it! (Crossing fingers). Feel free to join me in this bookish meme!

Waiting For:
The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater

If you've been a follower since the very beginning, you may remember my first reviews were on 'The Wolves of Mercy Falls' books. I loved those books so much except the ending of 'Forever' left me disappointed. But I'm expecting this will be a great read! Check it out for yourself - Filled with mystery, romance, and the supernatural, The Raven Boys introduces readers to Richard “Dick” Campbell Gansey, III and Blue Sargent. Gansey has it all—family money, good looks, devoted friends—but he’s looking for much more than that. He is on the hunt to find Glendower, a vanished Welsh king. Legend has it that the first person to find him will be granted a wish—either by seeing him open his eyes, or by cutting out his heart.

Blue Sargent, the daughter of the town psychic in Henrietta, Virginia, has been told for as long as she can remember that if she ever kisses her true love, he will die. But she is too practical to believe in things like true love. Her policy is to stay away from the rich boys at the prestigious Aglionby Academy. The boys there—known as Raven Boys—can only mean trouble. When Gansey and his Raven Boy friends come into her life, Blue realizes how true this is. She never thought her fortune would be a problem. But she was wrong.

Comes out September 18th 2012! Way too long!

Wanting:

The Fault in Our Stars by John Green

Last week when I was at the mall, I walked by the book store and saw they has signed copies of this book. I didn't really look at it -because I was determined to find another book- until I had paid and was leaving. I had to leave by then, and so I didn't get the chance to buy a copy signed by the author. Now, it is my number one book on my list! Here's what it's about - Despite the tumor-shrinking medical miracle that has bought her a few years, Hazel has never been anything but terminal, her final chapter inscribed upon diagnosis. But when a gorgeous plot twist named Augustus Waters suddenly appears at Cancer Kid Support Group, Hazel's story is about to be completely rewritten. Insightful, bold, irreverent, and raw, The Fault in Our Stars is award-winning author John Green's most ambitious and heartbreaking work yet, brilliantly exploring the funny, thrilling, and tragic business of being alive and in love

Sounds amazing right? I'm so in love with it already! If you've read it, let me know what you think!

That's all for this week, even though there's tons more!
